DNA COURSE

“The Christian life is not just a matter of believing, it includes belonging.” – Rick Warren

As Christians we can’t only believe, we also need to identify with the body of Christ. Belonging to the local church shows that “this person is now one of us.” It is a symbol of our salvation and the church provides a place where we can fellowship with other believers.

1 Peter 1:3 teaches that God wants us to be members of His family. Corporately, we can face any challenge that comes our way.

Being part of the church is a commitment to build through life’s blessings and challenges. A marriage is healthy when there is mutual commitment, it promotes trust, and allows a safe space to raise a family.  Friendships are healthy with loyalty and commitment.

Being committed to a local church provides:

spiritual support and encouragement in our walk with Christ (Gal 6:1-2).
a place to discover and use our gifts in ministry (1 Cor 12:4-27)
accountability we need to grow (Eph 5:21).
the spiritual protection of godly leaders (Heb 13:17).

Today’s culture promotes individualism but the Bible teaches us that we need to be in community to thrive. Our membership course is called DNA and it explains the beauty of the global church and goes into how we only fulfill our purpose when we are committed to Christ and to each other. It gives an in-depth look at why we need to belong to a local church. DNA also explains the leadership structure and beliefs of Revive Church. From there, you can make an informed decision of whether you would like to be a member.
